DAY 48: Habari Gani, Kwanzaa, and Coolio

BTS Learns Hip Hop Culture

Habari Gani, and Happy Kwanzaa! On Sunday, December 27, 2020, Day 48 of #100daysofBTS to #EndTheClimateCrisis, we talk about Kwanzaa and its founder Dr. Maulana Karenga, #BTS’s efforts to learn about hip hop culture from #Coolio and other African American hip hop artists early in their career, and impacts of the #GlobalClimateCrisis on places where #Kiswahili is spoken, including Kenya, Uganda, and other #AfricanGreatLakes countries. We also shout out to GiveWithFIG.org (Foundation for Indexed Giving), a charitable foundation with an index that prioritizes giving toward #EndingtheClimateCrisis, backing women, mothers, and girls, and uplifting Black Lives Matter. Then we dance with #WeBareBearsPanPan and #WeBareBearsGrizz to the #TimeMagazineBTS Entertainer of the Year performance of #BTSDynamite! Stay safe, stay hopeful, build coalitions across racial, language, and cultural divides, for a #JustTransition to end the #ClimateCrisis.
